Studio Ghibli: soundtracks to study by

Are you stressed out by all of those particles and prepositional phrases? じゃあ, you're in luck!

(すみません、for some reason the video wouldn't let me share it directly to Blogger – perhaps a copyright issue, or something to do with the original poster's settings? So here's a link instead.)

I'm Kenny, a sophomore taking first year Japanese at Princeton. Nice to meet you! To be honest, I chose your blog from the list at random, but now I'm totally glad that I did... This is such a great collection of relaxing piano music (and who doesn't like Studio Ghibli?). I'm also going to follow your Quizlet sets if you don't mind :) we're also using Nakama here, and I haven't been able to find a suitable Memrise course using that textbook. Anyway, I really enjoyed reading your blog, but there was one thing that stood out - how do you manage to go to sleep by 11 pm every day? I don't remember the last time I went to bed before 3 am. That probably has a lot to do with it...

I'll be sure to check it out.

I particularly like 「ようじんぼう」and its sequel 「さんじゅろ」。They're amusing in a sort of dark way. And then there's 「らん」, which is based off of "King Lear". A Shakespeare play set in Japan – that's the stuff.

And, to be honest, recently It's more like ごぜんいちじはんごろ。 Oh, the corrupting influence of college life. :P

ありがとう again for the comment!

  2. This was a great music recommendation! It's hard to find good music for studying that isn't distracting but also isn't boring.
